H and A Warranty Information

Tier 3 - Parts and Labor Warranty Coverage

As with any product, occasionally certain repairs may be necessary. In the event that a unit is replaced while under warranty, the warranty time remaining from the original invoice date will transfer over to the replacement unit.

Under the provisions of this warranty, if a proper claim is made, H&A Transmissions, Inc. will supply a replacement unit and cover the cost of shipping including core return to and from the repair facility you choose to make the necessary repairs. Labor reimbursement will be paid using the Honda/Acura factory book time at a rate not to exceed $95.00 per hour. Car rental will be reimbursed up to 5 days at a maximum of $35.00 per day. Towing will be reimbursed up to $100.00. Car rental and towing will be paid only when a copy of the original bills are submitted with the claim. Any other costs incurred which exceed this coverage, or which are not contemplated by this warranty, are the sole and exclusive responsibility of the vehicle owner.

All warranty claims must be submitted directly to the facility to the facility that originally installed the unit or to any other authorized repair facility.

Prior to the commencement of any warranty work on a unit, a licensed repair facility must first submit a valid warranty claim to H&A Transmissions, Inc. for H&A's approval. This warranty will not apply to, and will automatically be deemed void if:

  • Anti-freeze is found to have contaminated the unit (caused by a bad radiator).
  • Water or other liquid is found to have contaminated the unit (flood damage).
  • The in-line filter (supplied by H&A) has not been installed where applicable (must return used filter on any warranty claim upon request).
  • The unit was overfilled (blowing out seals) or under filled (causing internal damage).
  • The transmission was used for racing purposes (causes severe differential damage).
  • The unit is damaged due to overheating. This is normally caused when the radiator loses circulation due to deposit build-up and the cooler, which is housed inside the radiator, is not able to adequately perform it's function. (Evidence of overheating is shown by way of a brown, black or discolored torque converter).
  • The external ATF cooler supplied has not been installed where required. (Must return used cooler on any warranty claim upon request).
  • The unit was improperly installed.
  • Vehicle has been towed improperly, based on factory guidelines. This will cause internal damage.
  • Modifications or additions have been made to the unit by anyone without the authorization of H&A Transmissions, Inc.
  • Unit has been damaged in an accident, fire, or the unit shows signs of neglect, misuse or abuse.
  • Failure to properly maintain / service the transmission.


CONSEQUENTIAL AND INCIDENTAL DAMAGES ARE NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. Warranty holder's sole and exclusive remedy against H&A Transmissions, Inc. on account of breach of contract, warranty or performance shall be for the repair or replacement of defects in H&A's workmanship or material within the periods of this warranty.
